France declares state of emergency by December 31, 2026? — the market puts it at 4%, with $56k traded in the last 24 hours, closing 1 Jan 2027. A Yes outcome requires a legally binding decree declaring a state of emergency under Law No. 55-385 to enter into effect by December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. This specific legal status must apply to any part of the French Republic, including overseas territories. France declares state of siege (martial law) by November 15, 2026? — the market puts it at 0%, with $177 traded in the last 24 hours, closing 16 Nov 2026. The market resolves to Yes if a legally binding decree declaring a state of siege enters into effect in France by 11:59 PM ET on November 15, 2026. The decree must explicitly constitute a state of siege under Article 36 of the French Constitution and related Defence Code articles.

Readers often mistake temporary suspensions or resignation announcements for permanent removal.
