3 prediction markets price this story:

  • Shohei Ohtani wins NL Cy Young and NL MVP — the market puts it at 1%, with $28 traded in the last 24 hours, closing 1 Dec 2026. The market resolves to Yes if Shohei Ohtani wins both the National League Cy Young Award and the National League MVP for the 2026 MLB season. The outcome depends on the official awards announced by Major League Baseball, not on playoff performance or media polls.
  • Shohei Ohtani — resolved “Yes” on 3 Nov 2026. The market resolves to Yes if Shohei Ohtani is named a finalist for the 2026 National League MVP award. It resolves to No if he does not receive that selection. Readers often mistake the date of the linked game or his performance in it as the deciding factor, but only the official MVP finalist announcement matters.
  • Shohei Ohtani — the market puts it at 2%, with $428 traded in the last 24 hours, closing 8 Dec 2026. The market resolves to Yes if Shohei Ohtani wins the National League MVP award for the 2026 baseball season. It resolves to No if he does not win that specific title in that specific year. Readers often mistake this question as being about his performance in any single game or his team's success, rather than the individual league-wide MVP honor.
