2 prediction markets price this story:

• 6+ wins — the market puts it at 1%, closing 20 Dec 2026. The market resolves to Yes if the Maryland college football team wins at least six games during the 2026 regular season. It resolves to No if they win fewer than six games. Readers often mistake the resolution deadline, which is determined by the end of the 2026 regular season, not the calendar year.
• Maryland — the market puts it at 1%, closing 3 Jan 2027. The outcome is Yes if Maryland wins the 2026 College Football Big Ten Championship Game. The outcome is No otherwise. Readers often mistake the linked story about firing a coach as the resolution event, but only the championship game result matters.

Odds are the market's probability that the outcome happens, updated every few minutes. They are information about what traders expect, not a forecast we make and not investment advice.
